The Time of Our Lives Bands is available to play your private events, such as dinners, dances, receptions, high school and college reunions, family reunions, and parties of any kind: birthday, anniversary, holiday, or themed. We have great experience playing public events such as festivals, fund raisers, and fashion shows!
We are also a great band for lower-keyed times, such as soft background music during dinner, or quiet standards and instrumentals for events such as gallery showings, etc.

We want your event to be the best ever, so we are very happy to work closely with you and/or your event planner to create the perfect list of songs! We currently have a playlist of more than 300 of the most favorite/most requested songs (fast, medium and slower paced) for dancing, and we also have an extensive list of “cocktail/dinner” songs that include standards, instrumentals, and light vocals that can be used while your guests are arriving, mingling, having cocktails or dinner.
If you have special songs that are important to you, we definitely want to include them, and play them at the right time in your event. For weddings, the Bridal Party entrance music, First Dance songs, music for the Garter and Bouquet Throws, etc., are very important. Birthdays, Anniversaries and other kinds of celebrations need special songs. Corporate Parties or Events might call for songs that are in line with their industry.
For any event, musical fanfares and flourishes add emphasis to Toasts, Congratulations, and other speeches. If we don’t know the song you want or need, we’ll learn it!
We call ourselves a “dance band” but we are also a “show band”! We sometimes do strictly performance shows where the audience is seated and it’s not a dance. Even when we’re hired for a dance party, we’re doing something visually interesting on stage all the time. We’ve been called “five shows in one” due to our interaction on stage with each other and with the audience. So, even if your guests don’t dance, they will be well entertained!
For non-wedding events, generally, we play a 45 minute Set and take a 15 minute break, or play an hour Set and take a 20 minute break. Most events require 2, 3 or 4 Sets of music. It depends on what you think will work best for your event and guests.
For wedding receptions, our schedule is based on the events of the reception and how long the party is scheduled to last. We will be on stage and ready to play the right song at the right time. When the dancing portion of the reception begins, the standard “Set and Break” schedule outlined above usually works best. However, we will work the schedule needed to make your event just right.
Breaktime for the band is also breaktime for your guests! They need time to talk, mingle, refresh their drinks and cool down from all that dancing! We can play a CD of instrumental music during our breaks if you wish. Breaktime is also the best time to play your favorite songs that might not be great dance songs! You can provide a mix CD for breaks, or we can create custom mix CD’s to make sure the right vibe is maintained, and your guests are ready to continue dancing and celebrating when the break is over!
The Time of Our Lives Band provides everything needed for us to do a great job for you. We own professional systems that provide great sound in any size hall or room, from small to very large. It takes approximately two hours for us to set up and sound test the room. We prefer to be completely finished with our set-up and sound check at least 45 minutes prior to your first guests arriving.
A private dressing room for the band is much appreciated, if possible.
We will meet with you, your event planner, or the venue manager prior to your event to see the room and create a diagram of the band’s set-up floor plan. We are experienced, detailed, well organized and professional. We don’t leave any aspect of your event to chance.
We have several different coordinated sets of band-wear, from casual to formal, all in good taste. We are happy to work with you to coordinate our look to match your color and theme.
The Time of Our Lives Band consists of five core musicians, all of whom play multiple instruments and sing. If your venue and budget allow, we can add extra players. Our charges are based on when and where your event is held, the type of event, and how long you wish us to play. Please contact us for information on our booking and cancellation policies as they are dependent on the season and your event. All details will be fully documented in our service agreement with you. We are serious about making sure that you are fully, absolutely thrilled that you hired us!
When we can, we are delighted to participate in fundraising events for worthy charitable non-profit organizations benefiting our local community; or benefits to assist in raising monies to support our brave soldiers, police officers or firefighters.
